To celebrate the growing popularity of freestyle snowsports, the Orange AIM Series expands its calendar to incorporate six UK Championship events in 2006, adding the brand new Braehead Xscape in Glasgow to its list of existing venues.
Since starting out in 2002 the Orange Aim Series caters for all ages and abilities, from giving keen enthusiasts a platform to get into competition and gain wider exposure, to promoting sport and increasing participation in schools.
Serving up competition on artificial and indoor slopes as well as snow-capped mountain resorts, the Orange AIM Series caters for all tastes and budgets. By promoting the country’s leading slopes and actively introducing schoolchildren to the thriving community of talented freestylers, the Orange Aim series fosters freestyle talent in the UK.
Stuart Brass of Soul Sports says: “After the success of the 2005 Schools Tour and Orange AIM Series we are excited to be returning to the same venues again this year to continue to build our relationship with schools, slopes and media. It’s also great to be able to add a brand new event for this year’s series and see the competitor numbers increase each year”.
