November’s mag has hit the shelves. Check out a sneak peek of what we’ve got in store for y’all.
Our latest voyage into old school media has been delivered by our flying fleet of rainbow-flecked winged unicorns to shred stores and newsagents throughout Europa. Why should you buy a copy? ‘Cause it’s been delivered by frickin’ gay horses! Plus it comes with Jeremy Jones‘s epic 2-year backcountry epic, Deeper, 100% free. And as if that’s not enough to have you camping out for your 172 pages of the finest pulped trees five bob can buy, here’s some other stuff you can find within that will have you humping till you next hit snow…
THE HEIRS OF STYLE
When it comes to combining freestyle trickery with natural terrain, there’s few riders who do it better than Nicolas Müller and Jake Blauvelt. In fact, the first time we saw one of Blauvelt’s movie parts we were all like, “This kid’s like a Yank Nico,” so when we had the chance to do a combined interview with these two cats the decision was probably the easiest we’ve ever made. There’s not a single built kicker in the whole 17 pages, just 100% natural freestyle gnarl.
KAMCHATKA
Sometimes lastminute.com trips are the best kind. This is what our photo ed discovered when he received a call from Absinthe’s Brusti and three days later found himself on a sketchy Aeroflot bound for the Kamchatkan peninsula to meet up with Terje, Fredi Kalbermatten, Stephan Maurer, Peetu Piiroinen, Sani Alibabic, JP Solberg and co. for an epic 14 days of heli-drops, sledding and goodtimes.
GREASING THE WHEELS
Last April, a crew of rippers munched their way through a ton of deep-fried food to power an eco snowboard trip from Tahoe to Portland on a bus that ran solely on vegetable oil. In so doing they solved the riddle of how to go shredding without polluting the mountains. Sound cool? Gigi Rüf, Johnny Paxon, Annie Boulanger, Danny Kass, Eric Jackson and co. would say “yes!”
PLUS
No, that’s not all by a long shot. There’s also a Freshman focussed on Austrian up-and-comer Tom Klocker; we chat with Danny Larsen about his long relationship with the Pirates and what his experience of Hooked was; there’s a mini-feature on the pro-active bunch at True Color Films; a Big Picture welcoming the return of the sequence; plus all the irregulars, waffle, chat and nonsense you’d expect from Europe’s finest shred porno.
