The Fiat Rookie Camp went down from 7.-10. August in Saas-Fee and had the 14 best swiss snowboard rookies out of 52 entries invited to prove their skills and talent in front of the watchful eyes of the Fiat Freestyle Team.

Fiat riders Romain de Marchi, Anne-Flore Marxer und Mathieu Schaer spent four days with coaching the rookies and trying to give them an insight into what daily life of pro snowboarder is like. But next to snowboarding and theory there was also a bunch of side activities that proofed just as much fun, check out Anne-Flores blog!

But it was not for fun alone, by the end of the weekend Romain, Anne-Flore and Mathieu had to decide, which rookie had the best premises to become a pro. Unlike last year, there was different criteria taken into account, next to talent the decision was also affected by fitness, team spirit, ambition and attention. And of course, last but not least, the final session in the snow park on Sunday. The rookie who convinced both the pros and Team Manager Ivan Zwahlen was the only fourteen years old Patrick Burgener. The youngster attends the sports school in Brig and is already sponsored by Nitro and Volcom. Pat is going to be new Fiat Freestyle Team Member and will also receive a cheque over CHF 3'000.00 for registration fees and travel expenses.

Watch out for him this winter!
