Modern shop strategies for snowboard retailers



For the independent retailer, ISPO’s Shop Summit represents a chance for inspirational networking and commercial motivation. This dynamic forum in the boardsports area is becoming regarded as the annual international get together, a real think tank of opportunity to discover the latest trends that can help “shape your shop” commercially.

Shop Summit is a well thought out and highly interactive ISPO area, which offers an interesting look beyond what’s happening in boardsport business – so new insights are guaranteed. Two separate features are incorporated that aim at different levels of shop business expertise.

At the Basics section, aspiring or new retailers will receive a round up of essential topics such as finance, store layout and promotion.

The Trends section is the heart of Shop Summit and is a must attend, for those retailers who want an edge to their business development strategies. Here, ISPO has created a window on the future of independent retailing with a focus on Shop Concepts, E-Business, Eco and Inspiration.

Further highlights also taking place at the Shop Summit include the SOURCE Job Agency, which will once again be a platform for companies looking for qualified staff and ambitious people to make a career in the industry. It is also a good opportunity to mediate between manufacturers and distributors looking to add new countries/brands to their business. There are five categories: Hardgoods, Outerwear/technical apparel, Safety Gear, Kids’ Product and Travel and all winning products will be exhibited at Shop Summit throughout ispo – a perfect start into your ispo visit to get the overview about the latest developments. Award winners also present the details of their products on Wednesday morning with Q&A.
