Warm Up Weekend of the “March Madness” presented by Die Mobiliar

7th of March 09: & Foto- and Filmshooting
8th of March 09: Park Party
Location: Snowpark Lenzerheide (SUI)

This weekend saw the kick off to the first edition of “March Madness” being held at the Snowpark in Lenzerheide, which will have an event highlight on every weekend
throughout all of March. Contest, photo- and filmsessions, good vibes and the interests of the Freeskiers and Snowboarders are in the center of interest. The kick off weekend brought a photo- and filmsession with our media partners and and the guests used the Snowpark Lenzerheide to get the best shots, ride with friends and simply have a good time. At the end of the shooting day everybody came down to Lenzerheide to party all night in the dedicated party locations Tic Tac Club and Cinema Music Club of the Kurhaus Lenzerheide all night long.

The anticipation was big on Friday as it had snowed a little, and the forecasts for the weather for Saturday and Sunday was still uncertain.

To the relief of the organizers and guests it turned out that the session would go down as expected when the sun showed up at around 11 am on Saturday morning. This, of
course, got the stoke on for the riders who showed up to rip the Snowpark Lenzerheide and hopefully bag some good footage. Of the many local crews that showed up, it was
some riders from the media partners and that killed the medium kicker line and jibstacle course further down the park.

Alongside the park action there was also a BBQ and chill area at the bottom of the Snowpark Lenzerheide where people could get their munch on and enjoy some free
samples of Angel and Eve from Cardinal drinks, which were being handed out by two lovely ladies at the snow bar. To round Saturday off was a Hip Hop party held at the Tic Tac Club at the Kurhaus Lenzerheide, hosted by DJ Doop. Afterwards people then flocked to the second party location at the Cinema Music Club where people shook what they had up into the early morning hours.

Sunday had the “Park Party” in store for the riders where they could still get some laps in and get used to the park, which again was in perfect shape and, with the sun out,
presented perfect conditions. Most riders chose to destroy the jib part of the park, as next weekend the “Heavy Metal” rail jam will go down with a prize purse of CHF 2.500.

So you should definitely come to the Snowpark Lenzerheide next weekend and perform or watch some slip and slide action which will definitely be worth a visit.
