Scotland should prepare itself for some very unseasonable weather once again this month.

As the weather seems to be hotting up, SNO!zone, the indoor snow centre at Braehead is planning to help everyone chill out by dumping over 60 tonnes of snow on Kelvingrove Park on May 23rd to create a real snow freestyle slope.
Over 40 of the UK’s top professional snowboarders
and skiers have been invited and will show off their freestyle skills throughout the day on a custom built setup of rails, kickers and boxes.
With an MC, DJs, family entertainments and the chance to win lots of prizes the day is set to have something for everyone. This year we hope to add a licensed bar to proceedings so that spectators can really take advantage of the après ski tradition.
Lisa Allan, SNO!zone’s Brand Manager, said: “We are really looking forward to the park session this year after the success of last year’s event. With SNO!zone sponsoring so many of the UK’s talented ski and board athletes it is fantastic to give them the opportunity to come together for such an amazing and unique highpoint in the UK Snowsports calendar. We are hoping that more people will come to see the display and enjoy a fun day out at the second ever park session in Kelvingrove Park.
“There is no cost to watch the demonstrations and so we’re urging everyone to come along and see it snow again in Kelvingrove this summer.”
The fun starts at 11.30am and entry to the park is completely free to view.
