ATTENTION! The registration deadline for the summer camp at Wittenburg will be coming to an end on April 30th, and spots are becoming very scarce. So if you are a flatlands ripper somewhere in northern Germany, you should get your ass up off the couch and go sign up before it’s too late!
Already last year’s camp in October was hailed a full success, where young rippers had the chance to shred with Germany’s Jan Michaelis, winner of the World Cup Halfpipe in 06. This time around the camp and course promise to be bigger, better and more varsatile. It will not only limit itself to indoor activities on snow alone, but also to ones on concrete and water.
Of course, the main focus will be the snowdome with it’s world cup halfpipe and slopestyle course packed to the brim with jibstacles, as well as two brand new booters. One will be tailored for beginners and the other for intermediate to pro levels, where you can hopefully catch some serious air.
Once you’re over shredding the artificially lit dome, you can step out into the actual sun and go visit the waterpark ‘Neue Zachun’ right around the corner. There, you will be able to shred the wakeboard and waterski obstacle courses, or give wakeboarding a first try and see what the whole hype is about. Don’t worry! The rentals for wakeboards and ski’s is all inclusive with the 5-day snowcamp package. However, if you want to hit up the water obstacles you should do so with your own gear. If you are totally over it, you can also just chill, eat some burgers or brats and take in some good music, which will be playing at the beach.
Coming to the concrete, there will be a cart race where tires will be screeching and metal will be bent for sure. The lucky winner will recieve a shower of prizes from the sponsors of the week, so it’s well worth giving it a go.
A unique plattform for upcoming riders who want to break into the snowscene going by the name of ‘Sponsoree’ will be on site, aswell as scouts from the German Snowboard Federation. You guessed it! They will be looking for new talent for the ages up to 12 years of age. The grom who is most convincing in their eyes will have the opportunity to go ride with the German National Team when the next calender date to do so is set.Dates
