Freestyle CH 2008

An even bigger Big Air, even more ‘air time’ and even more in store on Friday! Visitors are in for big installation and program changes at 2008, as the world’s biggest and best snowboarders, free skiers, FMX pilots and skateboarders step up to the challenge from September 26 – 28 at Zurich’s Landiwiese. Tickets can be purchased at

What’s tried and true never changes at a top starter field of snowboarders, free skiers, FMX pilots and skateboarders competing before the stunning backdrop of Lake Zurich. But when it comes to cutting edge changes, this event is on the mark like no other – constantly evolving to bring
visitors the biggest and best trends in freestyle sports, sounds and labels.

Bigger ramps, awesome features
This year’s ramps will literally be larger than life! The Big Air snow ramp will stretch 8 meters to a whopping 36 meters while the skateboard Half Pipe leaps 60 cm to a soaring 4.6 meters. For riders, this means more «air time», more secure landings and, of course, more chances to make those
magical airs. For audiences, this means even more dazzling, daredevil tricks.

This year’s new contest mode will ensure double the fun: A qualification contest in all disciplines will be held with half the riders on Friday and the other half on Saturday. This will not only pump up the action on Friday, but will also provide all 76 invited riders with an equal chance at qualifying for the Final on Sunday – and at seizing a portion of the prize money totaling over $110,000.

New trends at Label World
The energy of change always permeates’s cherished institution – Label World – and its sea of over 80 exhibitors displaying the latest trends, developments and products in freestyle sports. When visitors to 2008 aren’t marveling at all the mind-bending tricks and airs skyrocketing
from the big ramps, they can continue to gape at the latest wonders in hardware, clothing and gadgets.

Great offers for early birds and families
Advance tickets to 2008 are available at StarTicket and RailAway. Through August 31st, early birds can not only grab themselves a discounted 3-day pass, they can also secure themselves a ticket which can be exchanged at for a voucher to the shop, Beach
Mountain, in Zurich. Parents with up to four kids in tow can also take advantage of the new family ticket (2 adults/max. 4 kids).
