The Freestyle Circus Serfaus in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is once again becoming the hotspot for every freestyle freak. Thanks to the park designer’s competent touch and the locals’ input, the park is more popular than ever. You want some evidence? The first photo and film session of the season are all the proof you need!
The Feel Free offer in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis leaves no whishes unfulfilled when it comes to spending an awesome day on snowboards. Everyone will find his or her perfect spot, whether you choose the freeride routes, the Funslope or one of the snowparks. Advanced freestylers tend to favour the Freestyle Circus Serfaus, because here they find a unique mix of variety, quality and long runs in only one park.
This interplay is also the reason why the Circus is the centre of the local freestyle scene! Recently, a lot of locals gathered together to set the right mood for the first photo and film session of the year. Although they know the park like the back of their hand, they still have so much fun as they had on their first day: “When the park is completely built up, you have a very long and varied run”, says the Innsbruck-based Lorenz Vyslozil, who frequently visits the park. Lorenz´ enthusiasm for the park is probably the result of park designer Fritz Gram´s philosophy of doing his job. He consistently asks visitors, like guests, ski teachers and hardcore freestylers, for feedback, in order to create a park which perfectly matches the needs of the people.
This means that with their opinions, the guests have a big say in shaping the park’s final design! Our pics and video show clearly what the riders liked most during the shooting. Rails and boxes were particularly appealing to them, as there was a lot of sliding and jibbing going on. And also in this respect, it is also the attention for the small details what makes the Circus so special as snowboarder Lorenz Vyslozil states: “I am a big fan of the high and always perfect take-offs near the rails”.
The great satisfaction of the local scene and the high quality of the park seem to go hand in hand. And it is good news that the scene is in a good, intact condition. The riders rejoice together over every successful trick and are open-minded towards every member as Lorenz observes: “These are all good dudes! Especially the guys from the Landeck, they are always here and are really nice folks.” And the next generation is already at the starting block to continue the tradition of a relaxed atmosphere in park.
At the end of the photo and film session, all riders were exhausted but happy with their runs. The special setup and the motivation of these freestylers was rewarded by unique shots showing the Freestyle Circus Serfaus’ best side: “Fascinating, brilliant and futuristic”, to put it with Lorenz’ words.
