The waiting comes to an end: When the Nike Snowpark Montafon in Silvretta Montafon, Austria will open its gates for the 2014/15 season, the setup is again consistent with its versatile lines at the Grasjoch and will stand for creative park design. The highlight will be the brand new Flow & Jump Line, as you know it from the famous Nike Snake & Hammers events.
This season, the Nike Snowpark Montafon will stoke snowboarders and freeskiers – regardless of age and ability level – with its huge setup. For the new season a total of 40 features from XS up to XL format will be distributed in four different areas.
The Medium Line will take over the largest area of the park. Apart from rails, boxes and kickers for advanced riders, the park will once again offer the well known and popular obstacles like the stairset and the fence- wallride. For the youngest and all freestyle beginners there will an Easy Line with appropriate boxes and tabletops to safely learn first tricks and gain experience.
However, for big tricks, the park offers a Pro Line. Two pro-kickers and an XL booter will invite you for some proper airtime.
Highlight: the brand new Flow- & Jump Line
The Easy, Medium and Pro Lines will use the area to the right of Freda chair lift. The new addition to this season’s Nike Snowpark Montafon setup will be a highlight on the opposite side of the park: The Flow- & Jump line. On the whole left side of Freda lift banked turns, waves and kickers will give all riders the feeling of being part of a Nike Snake & Hammers contest. The Banked Slopestyle will be suitable for all ages and skill levels. The special features of this line will not only bring all shredders lots of fun, they also emphasize once more the creative demands of the shape crew, whose highest goal it is to have the setup always on top level creative standard and in best shape.
Sajas Park Games – the “Wir Schanzen” is back
On January 17th 2015, the Wir Schanzen with the Sajas Park Games is taking place at the Nike Snowpark Montafon. Once more this winter, the slopestyle contest for snowboarders and freeskiers will be one of the event highlights in the Vorarlberg region. The setup will be specifically prepared to the needs and skills of the five categories men, women, kids and rookies U15 U12. This year, the Sajas Park Games are also a “Regional Event” of the WST (World Snowboard Tour) and a “Bronze event” of the AFP (Association of Freeskiing Professionals), so valuable points are up for grabs.
The winter of 2015/16 will be exciting at the Nike Snowpark Montafon. If you like it more quiet, check out the sunny plateau at the park base: Next to the park entrance you can find a chillout-area with relaxing sounds and deck chairs where riders can take a break and discuss the latest tricks.
