Following on from the hugely successful Laax Open 2016, Laax Resort have announced two more events for the coming months. You should definitely get over to these if you can.
We’re most excited about the second annual Sudden Rush Banked Slalom Open hosted by legendary riders Terje Haakonsen and Nicolas Müller. If you think you’ve got what it takes to post a time that can match theirs, then get yourself registered to ride at suddenrush.laax.com. It will be going up and down, and side to side on the 4th – 6th March and we can’t wait! Banked slaloms are always the most enjoyable events and last year’s was insane. Check out our full gallery and report and watch the top to bottom through the course we filmed last year with Nico! It’s too rad for any further description. Watch it, get stoked and head out there!
Even before all this banked slalom madness happens the Laax Mini Shred contest will be happening on the 20th – 21st Feburary 2016. Any snowboarder born after the year 2000 will have the chance to prove their worth in the Halfpipe and on the Slopestyle course. Expect a freshly cut, inch perfect transition and the smoothest jumps and creative features you’ll ever see at a grom contest because the Laax Park crew are just plain ridiculous! You know they won’t hold back – expect the same treatment the pros got at the Laax Open 2016. It’s the second time this contest has been set up by the freestyle academy so expect a tonne of prizes and good vibes all round. The Burton Riglet Park will also be in town on the Sunday so the super mini shredders can get their snow legs started. Get more info and register at www.freestyleacademy.com
