The only American TTR Five Star event, the Chevrolet Snowboard Grand Prix, announces a change of location from Mountain Creek, NJ, to Mt. Bachelor, OR, for scheduled dates of 3rd-4th February, 2007.
Organisers chose to relocate the event’s slopestyle and halfpipe contests due to unseasonable temperatures on the States’ east coast. Mt. Bachelor will also host TTR Two Star event, the Chevrolet Revolution Tour on the weekend following the Chevrolet U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix, 9th-11th February, 2007.
“It was difficult to move from Mountain Creek, because it has been such a solid Grand Prix venue, but if somebody has to step up, we’re fortunate it was Mt. Bachelor,” said Grand Prix Director Eric Webster. “Both the halfpipe and slopestyle are consistently world class and super spectator friendly, plus they’ve had excellent snowfall. Mt. Bachelor has hosted outstanding Grand Prix events in the past and I’m sure they will deliver a quality event in February.”
Now in its eleventh year, the Chevrolet US Snowboard Grand Prix is an exclusively US-based snowboard tour featuring America’s top male and female riders.
