Now he’s a goofy man who’s come of age with a full part in the new Standard movie, 2112, and who’s been turning heads across the planet thanks to his deep bag of tricks and wildstyle. The boy rips, so we went in to get his story.

Cover boy Nils has been on the radar for years. The Swede was the first rider we saw have a pop at a triple cork, but as you’ll know if you’ve checked out any of his movie parts there’s way more to his riding than hucking and hoping. With parts in no fewer than four movies this year, it was time Onboard shed light on this slick Swede.

As the latest in a long line of high quality snowboard movies from Absinthe Films, there’s a good chance that Resonance will ring your bell. With the likes of Müller, Eric Jackson, Bode Merrill, Gigi Rüf and a host of other international A-listers, the riding’s nothing short of insane and it’s all tied together by the familiar Absinthe aesthetic. We got the skinny on the project from both the riders and the producers, and combined it with some grade A bangers.

Senior photographer Matt Georges hooked up with Videograss’s Enlighten arm when they paid a visit to the French resort of Avoriaz to his the jibs and BC. With the Jedi skills of local legend Nico Droz to call on, the crew of Jordan Mendenhall, Nick Dirks, Darrell Mathes, Ben Bilocq, Danny Larsen and filmer Justin Meyer had their minds blown at the potential the area offers
