Coming out the gates like a whippet on speed, issue 88 of Onboard hits the shelves today with more eurocarvers than the whole of the 80s put together.
Bound to the cover in a biodegradable petrochemical embrace is the long-awaited Finnish flick Good Times, and flicking to page 68 gives you the lowdown from the riders themselves. From what we’ve seen it’s a toss up between Matti Kinnunen and Naku as to who’s got the standout part, but suffice to say the whole movie is a pot pourri of youngblood Finnish radicalism.
This month’s interview is none other then Jussi Oksanen, a man who helped usher in a new era of super-styled technical freestyle a while back, who’s still at the top of his game and pushing into new areas of riding, and has just started a new chapter in his life by joining the rad dad club.
Fessin’ up for a profile is Swedish shred and closet telesales guy Anton Gunnarsson, we stuff more powder in your face than an 80s yuppie could handle in our Austria feature, Forum’s Travis Kennedy answers your brain farts and there’s contest action from the Brits, the Mondial and the Xbox Big Day out. All this plus your usual dose of regulars, free stuff and yibble that you’ve come to expect from us.
Onboard issue 88, on sale Jan 31 from all good snowboard stores and news agents.
