This Week in Snowboarding 11/2011

Who would have thought? Our TWIS is picking up momentum. We would hope it is for our unique selection of clips, interviews and fun facts from the world of snowboarding. But maybe it is just the fact that we started embedding the highlight videos of the week in this post. Whatever humps your camel – here’s yet another edition!


Eric Willett and Enni Rukajärvi win the US Open. At the same place, snowboarders keep discussing the Olympics. Andrew Hardingham puts out some kind of teaser. The BLS park edit looks alright.


Kazuhiro Kokubo and Kelly Clark win the US Open, too. Nick Poohachoff is a fairly good park rider. And Videograss go Stockholm.


Jed Anderson is still crazy good, and he found his German counter-part in Dani Raycsanyi.

We megapost all important US Open videos. The Flying Finns shred pow-pow.Scott Stevens‘ old HCSC clip gets remixed, but is still good. Crewzin‘ visits Finger on da Trigger. This Bear Mountain clip on Pleasure’s website is quite entertaining. Joe Sexton & Justin Fronius ride Hyland Hills.


We have Andreas Wiig’s and Pat Moore’s full parts from F’It. Jake Blauvelt’s second Backcountry episode drops, and Chas Guldemond drops in for the sixth timeAlex Cantin, Jake Kuzyk & Co. star in yet another 5 Tricks Fix. Givin shred pow. Then there’s Loonatics episode 8. The Tahoe Dangerzone presents a great collection of slams. Back to the Boneyard III went down (scroll to the bottom of this for a video). Ayumu Hirano is only 12 but already killing it in the pipe.

Torstein Horgmo’s B-shots are better than your A-game.

The Winter X Games Europe kick off (and here are Louie Vito and Ethan Morgan doing some training). The Swiss Shaba Cru shreds Bear Mountain. Here are Lauri Heiskari’s and JP Walker’s parts from Cheers, and here’s the full Youngbloods part from F’It. Antti Jussila’s part from KBR’s Homework gets re-released. Yobeat posts a good edit of the Sabre crew (Eric Messier, Dylan Thompson et al.). Once again it’s GBP’s Soup Kitchen time. The Smokin Snowboards crew shred a park (Northstar, to be more specific). Michi Miethig is now on RockOn, too. Shaun White signs with yet another sponsor. And Sebi goes down.


We have a Wängl Tängl report, and all the action from Thursday’s Winter X Games pipe shebang. Signal Snowboards build another weird board. Ashbury draw a blurry line. Photog Pasi Salminen gets hyped by JP Walker. Jussi Oksanen’s videos need no title.
