If you watched any of the Mt. Hood edits this summer, you’ll know that A LOT of crazy tricks went down. From one-foot Scott Stevens insanity to super tech rail tricks to stunts involving hacksaws, inflatables and footballs, Mt. Hood is a breeding ground for creative snowboarding.

We sat through the literally tens of the 2014 Mt. Hood edits and pulled together a collection of what we think are the 30 wildest tricks of the summer (presented in chronological order in both GIF and video form).

Jeff Hopkins Sidehit Backside 900 - Windells 2014 Session 1

Doing a backside 900 is hard enough on a decent sized kicker, but off a sidehit? Here's Jeff Hopkins redefining spin to win.

Rail Train - High Cascade Session 1

Snowboard trains with your mates rule, and this one from the Lick The Cat dudes was the perfect way to kick off what are undoubtedly some of the best edits to come out of High Cascade to date.

Sage Kotsenburg Football Header - High Cascade Session 1

High Cascade Session 1 went down during the early stages of the football World Cup in Brazil. Being the celebrated American sportsperson that he is, Sage Kotsenburg showed he's also down with other current major sporting events with this fitting nod to the soccer. Sadly, the footaball wasn't made of bacon.

Spencer Schubert Backside 270 On 450 Off - High Cascade Session 1

As you'll soon find out, Spencer Schubert features HEAVILY in this collection of tricks. Always a standout in the Hood edits, here's a back 270 on, 450 out from the pink-hatted magician.

Max Warbington Handplant Bounce 270 Out - High Cascade Session 1

Max Warbington's another Lick The Cat dude who had more creative tricks than we could count on two hands. Check this ultra rad handplant 270 out variation.

Christian Sparks BIG Hardway Cab 270 On - High Cascade Session 1

Christian Sparks made a lot of heads turn this summer with his technical, powerful riding. Check this massive hardway cab 270 which claimed the ender slot in the first High Cascade edit.

Will Smith Bs 180 On Revert Switch Bs 270 to Regs - Windells Session 2

For a dude from England where there is basically zero natural snow, Will Smith has got mad rail skills. Here he is with a crazy tech bs 180-on revert switch back 2 to regs combo. Hammer!

Cole Navin One Foot Boardslide - High Cascade Session 2

Cole Navin channeled his inner Scott Stevens with this tricky-looking one foot boardslide.

Cole Navin 50-50 Board Tap to 50-50 - High Cascade Session 2

He also wedged a board between the Trollhaugen step down rail before 50-50 ing it...

Jed Anderson Switch Backside 270 to Regs - High Cascade Session 2

Jed Anderson needs little introduction and is still a level 10 boss. Here he is stomping an authoritative switch back 2 to regs.

Matt Chase Boardslide Backflip Boardslide - Windells Session 3

Matt Chase is another young dude and Windells coach who has been making waves at Hood this year. Sure, we've seen plenty of backflip to boardslides before but this one was particularly hefty!

Mike Rav Scorpion Plant? - High Cascade Session 3

Mike Rav got plenty of flopping around on the ground in this summer at Hood - check out this trick that we've decided to coin the scorpion plant.

Louie Vito Handplant to Double Cork - High Cascade Session 3

Double corks are a dime a dozen in the pipe these days, but maintaining speed from a handplant on the backside wall and going straight into a frontside double? Pretty next level actually.

Oliver Dixon One Foot Backflip, Thingy

Riding with only one foot in scares us. Never mind going upside down one-footed, where the chances of getting your knees in a twist are multiplied infinitely...

Jesse Paul's Creative Line

It's so sick to see riders take a different appraoch to riding rails rather than just going straight at 'em. Jesse Paul takes an extra creative line here for this back lip.

Spencer Schubert Cut Off Tailslide

Technically it would have been impossible to frontside tailslide this creeper rail on a snowboard. But as we know, Spencer Schubert is always one to think outside the box and took hacksaw to snowboard to make it happen.

Brett Wilkinson and the Most Blunted Blunt 270

Snowboarders get a lot of slack for using the term 'bluntslide'. Now we can't help the fact that there are no trucks on a snowboard but we can do them as blunted as humanely possible to make up for it.

Cody Lee Switch Toeside Carve to Back Board

We're not really sure how Cody managed to get this one around but mad props!

Jesse Paul Up and Over the Creeper

As you may have gathered from part one of this collection, Jesse Paul does a lot of weird shit on his snowboard. Here he is taking an err... interesting line up and over a double sided creeper rail.

Jesse Paul's Skatepark 270

Being a snowboard site and all, we already left out a whole bunch of skate tricks that could have featured in this collection. This is the exception: Jesse Paul popping a couple skate tricks before strapping onto his snowboard and doing a front board 270. Was he wearing skate shoes or snowboard boots?!

Jon Overson's Backside Noseslide Frontflip Out

Jon Overson switched into full beast mode to claim the ender of the Windells session 6 edit with this back noseslide nollie frontflip out. Wallop.

Matt Wainhouse Backside Air to Huge Gap

As you'll find out over the next few pages, the High Cascade Session 6 edit was pretty all time. Here's Matt Wainhouse blasting a huge backside air before tackling a monster gap.

Scott Stevens, Mike Rav and Friends Box Session

A super sick box session featuring Scott Stevens, Mike Rav and many more. Check out the High Cascade Session 6 edit for the full thing.

Spencer Schubert Horizontal 50-50

Here's another one we don't think we've ever seen before: Spencer Schubert hitting a downbar almost like a wallride, with a horizontal 50-50. Pretty sick right?

Ryan Paul Wallride Backflip to Front Lip

Ryan Paul decided to go fully mental on the very same feature. Talk about high consequence!

Scott Stevens Caveman Boardslide

We wouldn't really expect anything less from Mr. Scott Stevens. Skate style caveman boardslide, fully unstrapped and executed like a boss. Dude's a wizard. Oh, and he's dropping a full skate part in a few days time too!

Kevin Maples Front Board Gap Front Board

We had to put this one in for the sheer enormity of this gap. It would have been gnarly enough just gapping to the donkey dick, but after sliding front board at the top of the rail? Insane.

This would have been the ender of Session 6 had it not been for...

Gus Warbington One Foot Carve

... Gus Warbington's super rad looking one-foot carve!

Jesse Paul Inflatable Slide to Boardslide

Jesse Paul was still getting weird in the penultimate Windells edit, convincing us that there is indeed a place for inflatable rings in snowboard edits.

Justin Norman Front 270 Gap

Justin Norman took one of the gnarliest slams we've seen in a while going for a backside rodeo to front board on this feature, before stomping the shit out of this huge frontside 270 on, 270 off.
