For this third day of Ethan’s In Focus takeover week, we hit up the man himself to find out which riders have been instrumental in shaping the way he approaches snowboarding.
Yesterday, we found out what some of the people he’s ridden and worked with most had to say about him, so today we turned the tables and let him fire out the props to the riders that inspired him both currently and back in the day. There’s a few riders that have hyped Ethan over the years that you’d probably expect him to tip the hat to, and a couple you maybe wouldn’t unless you think about it…
1. Flo Corzelius
“Flo and I started riding together when we were about 11 or 12 years old. Flo always pumps me up, and always amazes me what he can do. He’s Mr. Fancy Footwork.”
2. Marc Andre Tarte
“Legend. Legend. Legend. Marc Andre Tarte inspired me so much, and I had all the same sponsors at one point. I got to ride with him when I was about 9 years old at the SPC camp, then I had a poster if him doing the huge Megaroller Cab 10 off the toes – I was so amazed by what he was capable of. He was always a showman when you watched him at the Air + Style in Seefeld, doing backflips and stuff.”
