Why snowboarding?
Because skateboarding is too damn hard! Haha, no, it’s freedom – just you and the mountain! Cruising with your friends, travelling from place to place, not knowing where it will take you. Love it!

Who were the riders that influenced you as a grom?
Basically the people in my local dome, like Cees Wille and Gerben Verweij. I saw them snowboarding and instantly knew that I wanted to learn that too. And luckily it worked out!

How did you get your first sponsors?
I entered a comp in a big yellow hoodie that stood out. The crew noticed me and hooked me up with some gear and boards.

Whose riding stokes you out these days?
Kas Lemmens. This kid is going places! Damn…

What one trick would you put in Room 101?
Frontside noseslide same way 270. I’ve tried it like 1000 times, and still can’t figure it out.

What do you think is overrated in snowboarding these days?

How’s filming with an all girls crew like Too Hard different to shooting with the boys?
I guess not that different. Sometimes it’s just the speed – with guys you set something up and instantly start hitting it. With only girls sometimes it’s a bit off a toss-up who’s gonna go first.

What was the worst misspelling of your last name ever?I heard everything, haha! But once someone just called me Rachida Mohammed.

What’s the worst thing about riding snowdomes?
The limited space you have to build a park. In my local dome we only have enough space for four rollers and one kicker. That’s like not even half of what you have in the mountains! But it does rock though! Snowworld Zoetermeer, come check it out!

Still snowboarding and cruising with my homies!
