A room of unlimited choices of songs, hi tech sound system, free alcohol - Japanese KARAOKE!
Right now I'm home in Östersund. The last week of the Japan trip was great. First we had a Bye-bye-see-you-next-year-but-first-let's-drink-and-eat-a-lot-and-then-some- karaoke-party with our Japanese friends Teppei and JT. How can it be that when you order a drink buffet, you drink faster than ever just because it's "free" within a certain time limit. Anyway, the following travel day was a mess. Me and Anssi puked a couple of times before we got to our hotel in Tokyo.
We straight went shopping in Akihabara, the electronic town, followed by some arcade games. My favourite is the bongo drums. We took it quite easy to rest for our last night.
After spending the day in Shibuya we met up with Joe of DeeLuxe and Nanako of Snowboarder Japan to have some dinner. We had some beers sashimi and talked about life. At midnight we went to Big Echo - Karaoke! This time all the songs were in English and the range of songs available were ridiculous. We sang pop, rock, death- and thrash metal, disco and so on.
Favourite songs of the night: Slayer - Angel of Death, Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody, Bon Jovi - Living on a prayer, Aerosmith - Dream on.
Just after I landed I went to the doctor for my knee and I've also visited a physiotherapist to learn that I have 3-4 weeks of resting and working out before I can ride again. That kind of sucks, but in the other hand it could have been so much worse to! So I'm thankful for that. In a month I will be back with full energy!
Music tip: KARAOKE! - But it has to be in a professional Karaoke place with free alcohol and 100 000 songs to choose from.
