You’ve seen the full movie and the full parts, now tune in to this behind the scenes look at the filming of Jake Blauvelt’s powder-filled epic Naturally. In the second webisode, Jake does what most snowboarders can relate to well: seek out the spots with the best snow and go ride them.
After the ISPO tradeshow in Munich, Jake hooks up with Fredi Kalbermatten and Eric Jackson and hit a remote region in the French Alps after a particularly heavy dump. The crew find a sick looking house to send it off and have a play on some more natural features.
After it begins warming up a little too much for the snow to stay light and fluffy, the crew head to the Saas Fee glacier – Fredi’s home resort – for a slightly precarious session navigating the many hidden crevasses up there. They log a few shots but are again plagued by warmer than average temperatures and the increasing dangers they bring when snowboarding on a glacier.
With that, the crew decide to head north to Riksgransen, Norway for a monster hip session. Thanks to the help of Swiss Precision Fredi K, a perfect hip is carved out of the landscape and the dudes proceed to send it with methods corked spins and a super sick double cork from Jake.
Check out the episode now, and stay tuned for part 3 dropping next week. Don’t forget that you can also pick up a digital copy of the full Naturally movie right here on the iTunes store.
