Matt Devino of Snackhaus and Brad Farmer of Marketing Farmer are introducing a new effort known as Definition: Snowboarding. This is a documentary film project exploring the definition of snowboarding from the perspective of those who live it. They would like to invite the entire industry to be a part of this exploration, and to help show the world just how amazing Snowboarding truly is.
What is Snowboarding? A sport? A lifestyle? An art form? It’s a simple question with an almost infinite number of answers.
Matt Devino - ‘This is a trailer for a feature length documentary film I’ve been working on in my free time with virtually no funding. I’m hoping to garner interest in the project with this trailer and use it to raise funding to complete the feature length film.‘
‘Definition: Snowboarding will be an in-depth look at all of the genres of Snowboarding through the eyes of Pro Riders and non-pros alike. I aim to create a film that both the general public and the hardcore snowboarder will enjoy, and to share all of the amazing aspects of riding instead of the homogenized X-Games/halfpipe riding most people are familiar with. Ultimately I want to inspire new people to go snowboarding for the first time, and reinvigorate current riders to get out there and enjoy their boards more often.‘
Definition: Snowboarding is a two year project to be released in the Fall of 2015. It will include dozens of interviews and document all aspects of riding and the lifestyle that encompasses it. Interviews will be shot over the course of 2014, and exclusive riding footage will be shot during the winter of 2014/2015.
Brad Farmer (Producer) - ’We are on a mission to bring together riders, media, brands, retailers and resorts to describe their vision of snowboarding and reveal this project to the world in an effort to showcase the complete picture of the snowboarding lifestyle. Not to sell our sport out, but rather to welcome people into the scene by explaining through the words of its leaders why it’s so incredible to be a part of. We are working to rally every individual and the businesses they represent in support of this project as we believe it’s vital to the future of this lifestyle that we all want to spend the rest of our lives invested in.‘
