Missed the 24hr stream of Nike’s cinematic bangerfest Never Not a week or so back? Well here’s one of the stand out parts from the movie – Jed Anderson’s mind-blowing opener.
Jed Anderson possesses the kind of raw talent on a snowboard that transcends the terrain he’s riding. He’s precise, calculated and lands most stuff first try – whether it be boardslides through kinked rails harsh enough to make a grown man weep, or frontside 9s in the backcountry.
What’s all the more impressive is how naturally it seems to come to him. Not one trick in this hammer-filled part looked forced, or seemed out of place or character. The multi-hit lines are as laid back (but still incredibly tech) as if he were pumping down a snake run on a skateboard.
He may be a jibber at heart but he’s certainly no one trick pony and believe it or not, Jed used to ride pipe comps back when he was a grom – and do well in them at that. Now he simply choose to ride what he wants, when he wants, and it definitely shows.
Now stop reading this rabble and go watch that part again.
