Flashback - JP Solberg's FULL PART from 'Transcendence'

Re-watch one of the most iconic parts in snowboard history, JP Solberg’s section from Absinthe Films’ ‘Transcendence’.

Transcendence dropped in 2001 and JP Solberg’s part turned him from a 17 year-old unknown Norwegian into a superstar literally overnight. It also helped cement Absinthe Films – who were just emerging as a legitimate production company - in the snowboard movie-making halls of fame.

From the burly, balls-out snowboarding to that classic accompanying Beatles tune, and of course, the now-legendary pink bunny suit, it’s not difficult to see why this part went down in history as one of the most memorable snowboard sections ever committed to film.

There’s something awesome about JP’s style that really hit home back in 2001, with everything trick being stomped with impeccable style and not even an arm out of place. JP was pretty much the definition of ‘riding bolts’ back then and it was made all the better by the irony of doing it all in a bunny suit.

These days, JP is still heavy involved with snowboarding as one of the founders of Yes Snowboards along with DCP and Romain De Marchi, and while he may not go quite as big now as he did back in his heyday, is still sending it on his snowboard.

So sit back, hit play and watch JP in his prime.
