Postland Theory have just dropped their highly anticipated bangfest ‘Periscoping’. Featuring many of Holland’s finest shredders, a few special guests, plus some fine work from director/producer Tim Schiphorst, it’s not difficult to see why this won the ‘Best Am Movie’ at the Reels Film Festival.
Most of the Postland dudes (and dudette) hail from Holland – a country that’s flatter than Jessica Alba’s stomach, and as a result, most of them grew up shredding indoor fridges. This year they decided to step it up another notch and make their third full length (as they put it) “less Dutch” by taking their riding to the streets of Finland, Poland and Lithuania. Boy did they deliver.
14 year old Max de Vries has a killer part and will definitely be one to look out for over the next few years. Rachida Aoulad remains one of the steeziest female riders we’ve ever seen and Cees Wille is a total G.
British rider Will Smith’s part has some sick tricks in it and one of the best songs ever used in a snowboard part and Kas Lemmens ender? Let’s just say that we think this kid is about to blow up.
All in all this is a super solid offering from one of the most promising crews in the game and it’s little surprise that the movie was voted the ‘Best Amateur Movie’ at this year’s Reels Film Festival. Periscoping features the riding of: Cees Wille, Gerben Verweij, Joey Van Essen, Will Smith, Kas Lemmens, Luc Büthker, Wojtek Pawlusiak, Wessel Van Lierop, David Struber, Steef Van Der Meer, Rachida Aoulad, Max De Vries, Henri Habib, Eirik Nesse, Bob Van Unnik and more.
