UPDATE (Thurs 17th Oct): That’s it dudes and dudettes! We hope you got round to tuning into our online premiere for Naturally, but if for some reason you missed it (where were you?!), you can score yourself a copy of the movie at the following fine online establishments. If you’ve ever enjoyed riding powder, this is well, well worth having in your movie library:
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/
Here it is folks: just under 40 minutes of ground breaking backcountry freestyle with a side order of soul-surfing from Jake Blauvelt and friends. Basically, if you like riding any kind of fresh snow this should tick your boxes and then some.
Naturally charts two winters in the life of Jake and his tight army of cohorts (Eric Jackson, Kazu Kokubo, Fredi Kalbermatten and Shayne Pospisil) as they pop powder pillows and send it to the moon on some natural terrain features in Japan, North America and Europe that will make your jaws hang. That’s not to say that this is your standard banger fest set to music. If you can appreciate the nuances of a good ol’ fashioned powder turn on a snowboard, you’ll certainly dig this.
This is the first footage we’ve seen of Jake since his 2011 web series of the same name and to say that we’ve been waiting for new footy with baited breath is an understatement. Throw in some of the planet’s finest natural terrain freestylers, a bunch of helis, state of the art Cineflex and RED cameras and you’ve got one awesome, beautifully polished-looking flick.
You’ll be able to stream Naturally right here, for FREE, until 5pm on Thursday, October 17 thanks to Jake and the movie’s producers, Friday, deciding early on that they wanted to get the movie out there to as many people – and stoke out as many people – as possible – but, as you’ll find out in our recent video interview with Jake Blauvelt, the dude’s aware of the disposable nature of the internet so it was also super important that snowboarders would have the chance to re-watch at their leisure over the coming months and years.
Hence, as a result, after October 17 you’ll be able to snag yourself a copy on iTunes for a small handful of European shekels. It’s the perfect pre-pow pumper. But till then, get comfortable, make yourself a brew, click HD, set to full screen, and enjoy.
