Want to see what the future of Finnish snowboarding looks like?
We were contacted by young Finnish moviemaker Petrus Koskinen wondering if we’d put his crew’s new movie Bugarest on the Onboard site. Having never heard of KBR Productions we checked it out and immediately responded with a ‘HELL YEAH!’
Finland has always been a hotbed of shred talent and it looks like that’s set to continue as Bugarest is packed full of some worryingly good Finns that we’d pretty much never heard of.
Here’s what Petrus had to say: “We are about ten 18-20 year old close friends from Finland who love to snowboard and make movies. Our movies are made with almost zero budgets and with no specific filmers, the riders just filming each other. Our movie-projects are anyway very big things here in Finland and these guys are the best riders at their age here.”
You’re not wrong there, Petrus. Check it out and realise that some no-name rookies in the ball bag of Europe are pulling double corks and riding gnarl-dog urban stuff that many bigger names would be stoked on.
