Skier happens upon cliff, doesn't stick the landing...
In the latest addition to our Near Death files, a French dude peeks over the edge of a cliff, loses his footing, slips, tumbles through a minefield of craggy outcrops and ends by plummeting off a sizeable cliff.
We deem this is the second heaviest slam ever, performed by Fredi Kalbermatten during filming for the upcoming Standard Films production '2112'.
A great addition to our successful Near Death category, and a timeless piece of slapstick. Whatever the true intention of the rider was, he must have said something along the lines of "Look at me! I'm gonna rip the shit out of this!"

There are a few things in this clip that rang our alarm bells straight away: For starters, the action takes place in Russia. Then, the crew seems to be slightly intoxicated. Additionally, we couldn't figure out where the landing was supposed to be.
