The great thing about World Snowboarding Day is of course the idea of going shredding together and have a good time. But what happens when one thing is left out due to uncontrollable circumstances? Say the “snow” part of Snowboarding Day? Well, that’s what happened on Sunday, December 21, in Garmisch. K2 and Ride Snowboards were putting on a barbie, got some boards ready and got the gondola running. Unfortunately the unthinkable happened: RAIN. Well, as you can probably judge from the pics, the fun was not put on hold just because the sky was crying that day.
Real riders ready to ride in raging rain. So psyched. All shots by Said
Don’t walk on grass. Shred it. Or should it be: No snow – no problem?
Eckbauer Bahn in Garmisch. Tiny resort, big fun.
This shot was labeled “No more to be said”, I guess there is no need for snow when there are such lovely ladies around!
Tailblocks are the new sandboarding. You don’t need snow to rip, you know.
