A wind storm attacked the Roxy Pinky Jam “Girls Snowboard Meeting & Contest” in Livigno deleting the slope style contest but not the event. In fact the riders shredded in two photo & video shoots around the Carosello 3000 ski area in Livigno, where amongst other ladies, TTR top riders Margot Rozies and Alicia Bonnaud killed it… afterwards everybody congregated at Marco’s Pub to party the night away.

With maximum speeds of 180km/h, the wind forced the slopestyle competition at the Roxy Pinky Jam to be cancelled at the Carosello 3000 Snowpark in Livigno, both on Saturday and Sunday. The organisers tried everything in their power not to have the comp cancelled, but the wind proved to be an unbeatable foe. But, snowboarding is not only about competing and after the cancellation of the slope style contest, two photo&video sessions where arranged for fun and to produce some shots and footy for the photographers and filmers present. The first shoot was on Saturday evening in the new wood park, and a second one on Sunday morning in the rail park at the bottom of the lifts.

The Roxy Pinky Jam 2008 resulted in a girls meet based on fun, photo and video shoots, dinner feasts, shopping and a heavy duty party on saturday night … besides being a little bummed about the cancellation of the event, all the partecipants had fun and enjoyed a nice time in Livigno, celebrating one of the few dedicated girls events in Europe.

Check out the Pinky Jam website for more shots and stories.
