In February 2014 the time has come — Slopestyle will debut as part of the Olympic program. TheStubai Prime Park Sessions from October 21 to November 17, 2013 on the Stubai Glacier, austria, will offer the world’s best snowboarders the ideal opportunity to prepare for this spectacle. With the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo Snowpark, the Stubai Glacier has long been a season kick-off point for the international snowboard community. The goal is to create one- of-a-kind training conditions for the world’s best slopestyle riders.
With this goal in mind, we’ve pulled out all the stops — and preparations for the coming fall season are already at full speed. Some days ago, the Schneestern team has begun its work with their brand new PistenBully ParkPro snow groomers. The park setup itself has been designed entirely to the riders’ wishes and contains key elements of the Olympic slopestyle course. In addition from a three-kicker line and a bag jump, diverse jib features will await the participating athletes. The world’s top riders have never had so good an opportunity to hone their skills in a park built specially for them.
Diverse national teams from Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, England and Austria have already confirmed their attendance. In the last few years the Stubaital has become a top spot for the international slopestyle scene. Not only the ideal conditions of the ski resort but also the accommodations are perfectly attuned to the needs of top athletes. All riders will be announced on
facebook.com/theprimeparksessions in the next days.
EXPANDEND PRO-LINE AS ADDITIONAL OFFER
Snowpark guests will profit directly from the improvements to the park infrastructure and the investment in the re-engineering of the Pro-Line. During the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere, the official Snowpark Opening from 18-20 October 2013, the complete setup will be primed and open to the general public. In the weeks following, the Pro Park will open to the public at 12:00pm every day as a supplement to the expanded medium park on the other side of the Gaisskarferner lift. The work now in progress will benefit not only future Olympic athletes, but will also lay the foundation for a new and improved Pro Line in the Stubai Zoo.
Come and check it out!
