Last night, for the second year running, Onboard, 686, Electric, Warsteiner and ispo came together to put on another epic night of blood, sweat and beers as Lights Out unleashed another evening of shred industry fisticuffs on Munich. Wallop!
As was the case last year, Lights Out wasn’t just an entertaining way to get smashed on booze watching members of the snowboarding fraternity smash seven shades of sherbert out of each other, all the proceeds from said booze and donations went to the charity Fuck Cancer, because as we all know, cancer can go and get right fucked.
Compared by the inimitable Henry Jackson, we were treated to some epic bouts of full bore fighting from a selection of dudes (sadly the girl fight had to be canned due to an injury) with the minerals needed to get amongst it. Pretty much every fight seemed to feature one of the Postland Theory crew, so if there’s one thing we learned it’s that you don’t fuck with the Dutch, and though the inebriated judges managed to call winners in our books all the guys were champs just by simply stepping in the ring. But to sum it up:
First fight: Andrew Hayward (Factory Media) wins over Xavier Mora (99 Sparrows)
Second fight: Max N’Tary (Le Closet Magazine) wins over Steef Van Den Meer (Dutch rider, Postland)
Third fight: Zeg (Ninja Scooter) wins over Bob Van Unnik (Dutch rider, Postland)
Fourth fight: Gerome ‘Coin Coin’ Mathieu (French rider, WWW) wins over Iggy Beukers (Dutch rider, Postland)
Thanks to everyone who duked it out, everyone who came to cheer on the fighters, and especially everyone who dropped a few euros into the collection box. Video coming soon!
See you next year.
