After looking at the pictures that came with this release we knew we just HAD to post them. However, you might want to find out what this is all about:
Xavier De Le Rue is on his way to get the recognition for his rad performances. Over just two years his status changed from relatively unknown freerider to one of the best big mountain riders out there. The projects he is involved in are receiving props from the snowboard scene.
The Relentless movie, Lives of the artists, premiered in London in December, with a Greenland sectionby Xavier receiving the best shooting award and special prize of the jury at the international freeride film festival in St Lary. On a more personal level, his « black Winter » segment in the latest Standard Films production has been nominated at Transworld Rider Poll award as standout performance of the year and it’s nominated for best line at Cold Smoke Award. To finish with award Xavier will be on the other side of the fence as he’s part of the jury at riders-match.com, a video contest open for pros and amateurs. Xavier won the pro category last year.
Life is not all about getting nominated for or winning awards. That’s why good ol’ Xav leaves Tuesday 19th of January for Sochi to take part in the first comp of this year Nissan Freeride Wolrd Tour to defend his back to back freeride world champ titles and aim for a “three-peat.” Sochi will take place on January 21st. Afterwards Xavier will attend the Chamonix stop on January 30th.
