Billabong snow team rider Wolle Nyvelt (Austria) has won the coveted Transworld Snowboarding Magazine Rider Of The Year Award. Announced at the SIA Snow trade show in Las Vegas.
Wolle won the prestigious award for the impact he has made on snowboarding this year.
Wolle’s amazing talent and consistency throughout the years has made the Austrian one of the most respected and admired riders by his peers. His snowboarding has been captured on film in Alaska where his incredible freeriding and revolutionary lines have set him on the forefront of Snowboarding. The 29 year old was nominated alongside fellow European stars Nicolas Muller (CH) and Andreas Wiig (NOR), and was awarded rider of the year by the highly respected Transworld editorial team.
Wolle grew up in the Austrian Mountains and has been part of the Billabong international snow team for over a decade. This latest accolade cements the hard working snowboarder’s place as one of the world’s most progressive riders. Billabong congratulates Wolle on his amazing achievement.
