Snowboarding is not just a four-months-a-year pastime. Snowboarding happens year-round, every month, every day of the week. Europe is battling the slush in their parks, the Southern Hemisphere is waiting for the first snowflakes to arrive, and the US are drowning in powder. To commemorate their epic conditions we embedded only powder edits in this edition of This Week in Snowboarding!
Yobeat have a Jackson Hole powder edit.
Elias Elhardt slays the backcountry.
We have the top 3 runs of the Quiksilver Spring Battle in Flachauwinkl, and the Poney Session wrapup video. The 32 crew rides a downrail like a boss. The Snowpark Fiss Ladis gets sessioned. We post another Near Death video. The Crap Show Episode 9 hails from Laax. The Ashbury Demo went down in Park City. Snowboarder Mag posts a bunch of Miss Mountain High pics, which does not go down well with the Rumorator. Here’s a Canadian Ride Shakedown recap including some video footage, and here’s the Come Ride with Us clip about the same event. Some rail jam went down at Ski Bowl. Austin Smith talks about Lucas Huffman. GBP’S Soup Kitchen #6 isn’t too bad. Johnny Brady’s HCSC part to be found here. ESPN take a look at Smith Optic’s backcountry park. And here’s an epic front flip to faceplant.
Another great Whistler edit from the YES crew drops.
Nic Sauvé’s F’It part is rad. The Flying Finns hit up Mammoth and Bear. Here’s Canyons Fundays episode 8. Iikka Backstrom and Devun Walsh get drunk in France. The Roxy Shooting Star comp is over. The Super Exclusive Gentlemens Club Of Snowboarding Episode 2 is a long name. The Illicit Snowboarder offers some pretty funny insights into the Miss Mountain High contest. Jussi Oksanen’s TB10 part gets unearthed in our Timetravel Tuesday. The Voleurz crew goes Colorado (wait for the meaty tree runs in the second half). The Peddie Files episode 2 drops. And the snowfalls in the US get out of hand.
Polar Opposites’ second episode is full of backcountry bangers. Ryan Tiene is one of Australia’s finest. Pleasure Mag have a Spy Snow JahZee video. Tales from the T Bar #4 is one hell of a shred clip. TWSnow have Nate Lavik’s full part from Poachers X. Rusty Ockenden is now on Rome and Trouble Andrew has a new board sponsor, too. Oh, and bHappy post a Northstar edit.
We post Wolle Nyvelt’s, Curtis Ciszek’s and Eric Jackson’s Dakine edits. Here’s a video from the first day of Red Bull’s The Launch in Park City. And a lot more Spring contests went down. Good Question post a weird Total Fight Rail Jam clip. Our French ed is proud of the Intercrew video he uploaded. Simon Gruber wins the Iuter Games 4. This clip shows David Bertschinger Karg preparing for a pow shoot. KTC’s Six Trick Mix is pretty, pretty good. And the Angry Snowboarder finds there’s something fishy about product guides.
Erik Botner scores some pow.
And there’s lots more, but we strongly suggest you shut down your computer now and get some late season shred on for yourself!
