Deeluxe is providing their newest freeride boots for free testing and Marker is offering helmets and goggles to try out. Ortovox will provide some avalanche transceivers for the campers to up their skills and practice for emergency situations.
The Voelkl Split & Freeride Camps will be set up in some of the best freeriding resorts of the Tyrolean Alps in Austria. Locations will be chosen from the beautiful Gradonna Mountain Resort in Kals to the majestic and massive terrain of the Großglockner Mountain. From powder-pillow-paradise and tree-run heaven of Ski-optimal Hochzillertal Kaltenbach to the high-alpine touring in the breathtaking setting up on Hintertux Glacier to rapelling into amazing steep powder fields up on Stubai Glacier, every location of the weekend camps will have a lot to offer.
To get prepared for the challenges of the backcountry all participants will get to know the basics of avalanche safety awareness and risk management before their first ascent. With the help of a certified mountain guide the campers will check the avalanche forecast and weather report together before planning their tour for the following day.
