THE SWATCH TTR WORLD SNOWBOARD TOUR ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL BRAND PARTNERS FOR THE 2010 SEASON

The Swatch TTR (Ticket To Ride) World Snowboard Tour is pleased to announce the official tour brand partners for the 2010 season.  On the Platinum level, the highest level of partnership, TTR has joined forces with Burton, Nike 6.0 and DC.  On the Gold level, TSG, Zimtstern and Völkl have signed on as partners and Flow and Oakley have come on board as Silver level partners.
As partners of the TTR, each of these brands are investing in the growth, progression and future of competitive freestyle snowboarding while expanding their direct relationship with snowboarders around the world.  TTR’s partners will also benefit from the worldwide exposure they will receive through TTR’s global web, television and print media platforms.  In addition, these brands will help the TTR, a non-profit organization, to further develop the sport and push competitive snowboarding in a positive direction.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with such great and diverse action sports brands” says Reto Lamm, President of the TTR.  “It’s very cool to see these brands come together to support one common tour that is so important to the snowboard community.”
The TTR would like to send a special thank you and warm welcome to Nike 6.0 and Oakley as this is the first year these brands will be partnered with TTR.
“Nike 6.0 is honored to partner with the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour, who have continually supported snowboarding and the riders by providing a global tour with innovative events” says Debra Friedman, Global Brand Manager at Nike 6.0.  “There is currently no other snowboard tour that combines grass roots ethics with world class production providing a defined path from first time competition entrant to World Champion.”
Lasse Andersen, Sport Marketing Manager at Oakley had this to say about the new partnership with TTR,  “After seeing the Swatch TTR World Tour developing and making changes in snowboarding, Oakley is proud to forge this partnership. Our team riders are comfortable with the TTR ranking system and fully back the events on the TTR tour which makes all the difference to us.”
In addition, a big thank you goes out to Swatch, Burton, DC, TSG, Zimtstern, Völkl and Flow for their continued support of the TTR World Snowboard Tour.

Unless you grew up in a cave you will know that the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour is pretty much everything that’s good about snowboarding and that they are the only legit representation of our sport. TTR events are all about progressing the sport, going grass roots and big inner city at the same time, pushing creativity and the limits of riding alike. However, you might have guessed that ensuring the quality of the events, running this complex ranking system and doing all the media stuff involves some cash. For this reason, the TTR guys today happily announced their official tour brand partners for the 2010 season:
