After recently announcing their three year partnership with the TTR World Snowboard Tour, the world renowned Swiss watch maker is partnering with Freecaster.tv, the leading extreme sports online video portal. The Swatch sponsored Freecaster snowboard and freeski channels will aim at further covering the most dynamic winter sports with the highest quality video. The first milestone of the new partnership will be the live coverage of the 15th edition of Nokia Air & Style, the world’s premier big air snowboard event. Dave Mailman and Mike Basich will co-host the live show from 17:00 CET until 23:00. Freecaster will cover the snowboard and freestyle skidoo action as well as the concerts from The Hives and Sean Paul.
‘Swatch has always been looking for exciting cooperations in the field of extreme sports. Enhancing our partnership with the TTR World Snowboard Tour as well as our engagement in freeride events like the Swatch O’Neill Big Mountain Pro via Freecaster.tv just feels right and enables us to communicate our products and values to a huge action sports community all over the world”, says Peter Mager, Head of PR & Events of Swatch International.
Raymond Dulieu, founder of Freecaster.tv “I’m proud to have Swatch onboard as a partner. They revolutionised the watch industry and their partnership with Freecaster.tv reflects their continued understanding of how to lead an innovative marketing strategy. We are entering our 4th winter season with the snowboard and freeski channels, and Swatch’s involvement will mark a new era for us. They recognise that fans place great importance on watching their favourite sports online in the highest quality. We are looking forward to leveraging their support to deliver an ever increasing supply of premium content to these fans, our viewers, whilst raising the profile of the film makers, the riders and events that drive these sports.
