SPRING IN THE PARK 2008
Big spring camp at Terrain Park Zugspitze from March 15th to 30th 2008 • International coaches and “Sponsor me“ contest
It’s springtime – and with that, time again for SPRING IN THE PARK, the freeski and snowboard camp at Zugspitze! From March 15th to 30th 2008, the springtime event will take place at Terrain Park Zugspitze for the third time offering two weeks of freestyle pleasures and sun. With free coachings, tests, special offers for girls and a “Sponsor Me” contest on March 29th 2008, the camp sponsored by K2 SPORTS and RIDE will be the springtime highlight at Zugspitze. Apart from international coaches, Zugspitze local Xaver Hoffmann will also be at place as a supervisor.
First week: the Girl’s Week
At the coaching, top ski and snowboard pros of the K2 and RIDE teams will advise riders how to perfectly perform their tricks on rails and kickers. The first week is all about the girls: at the coaching with the pro riders of the K2 Women Alliance Team, they will stay among themselves in small groups to encourage the learning effect. During the Girl’s Week from March 16th to 23rd 2008, Michelle Parker (USA) will coach the female slopestyle skiers. Ursina Haller (SUI) and Tanja Baumgartner (AUT) will take care of the snowboard girls. In addition, the female participants will be able to look forward to a Welcome Package, a ‘Girls Only’ party at the Hausberg Lodge and many more special features. For sure though, the boys are also welcome at the park for this first week of SPRING IN THE PARK.
At the second week from March 24th to 30th, the male snowboarders will be coached by K2 pros Danny Larsen (NOR) and Andreas “Mone“ Monsberger (AUT) as well as RIDE team riders Manuel Tapal (GER) and Jenz Kretschmer (GER). K2 rider Daniel Schiessl (GER) will be in charge of the freeskiers. During the whole camp, Germany’s best-known freestyle snowboarder Xaver Hoffmann will be on-site as a supervisor. Free tests and “Sponsor Me“ contest. Through both weeks of SPRING IN THE PARK, the participants will have the opportunity to test the newest K2 and RIDE ski and snowboard
equipment for free: at the test booth, they will already find the tools of the upcoming 2008/09 season!
On Saturday, March 29th, the camp will be rounded off by the “Sponsor Me” contest at the Terrain Park. All riders who don’t have a sponsor yet may participate. At this occasion, they will be able to show what they learnt at the two weeks of SPRING IN THE PARK. The winners will go away with precious sponsor deals: the best skier will gain a one-year “Shop Rider” deal with K2 SKIS and the best snowboarder a one-year deal for the national RIDE snowboard team. The session will be judged by K2 and RIDE pros. They will look for the best overall impression on all obstacles of the park (rails, kickers etc.) during the entire session.
