Spitzingsee in Miesbach county 60 kilometers from Munich is the spot you wanna go for a breeze of freestyliciousity. For the third year in a row the resort cooperates with Burton Snowboards to offer the best terrain park of the region. From rails, boxes, barrels to kickers this park setup will please your appetite for the shred lets you come back for more. Beginners and expert riders can get shredastic at the Nordhanglift next to the Untere Firstalm in the daily groomed park. The new “look before you leap” signs will help greenhorns getting around the park by showing them where landings and were the drop-ins are so they don’t bother anybody. Great idea for both. You can also rent some RED protection gear, like helmets, for free – yeah that’s happening. There is a real chilled wipe in the park and improvo BBQ sessions are a common sight on the weekends. And with a liftpass for under € 30 a day for adults, € 25 for over 15 years old and the little fellas under 15 years pay € 15. The park is not the only thing that attracts riders each year, just go there, ask around and the friendly locals will sure offer some advice where to shred the pow-pow at. You can also get there by train from Munich pretty cheap and take the shuttle bus up. Check their webpage for webcams and infos on the resort and the park!
