Snowboard D Day

The Snowboard D-Day, first ever European snowboarding day initiated by EuroSIMA – European Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association – will open the winter season in different snow resorts on December 17th.

The aim of the Snowboard D-Day is to enable the masses, from beginners through experts of all ages, discover for free the snowboard culture and experience the excitement of snowboarding during one day.

Professionals and volunteers of the snowboard scene will organize a full range of free activities to share their passion for snowboarding with a large public.

In the program: snowboard lessons, product testing, snowboard demos, contests, environmental awareness, concerts, parties and many other surprises…

Many countries are already involved in the event, including Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Austria, Slovakia, Switzerland, the UK and Japan. A detailed program of activities in each partner resort will be soon online on the event official website: www.snowboard-d-day.com.

The Snowboard D-Day will welcome Mathieu CREPEL, the first TTR World Snowboard Champion and 2005 FIS World Cup Halfpipe Champion. Mathieu will be the Ambassador of the 2006 edition of D-Day and will take part in the various activities and share his experience of being a pro rider and his passion for snowboarding with others.

So there are no excuses. Mark the 17th of December – and let´s go SNOWBOARDING!
