How to combine snowboarding, skateboarding and art? This is the question that the exhibition Ride The Wall will to answer, bringing together art lovers, riders and all the board culture for a unique exhibition Geneva.

For the first time in Geneva, Ride The Wall, represented by Anouck Grau, pro snowboarder, are proud to announce a genuine festival dedicated to Urban Contemporary Art. The driving force will be the three major art works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, the father of urban culture. Ride The Wall strives to question the connections between sport and art by bringing together world famous artists and athletes. This event introduces urban culture through fine art, snowboarding and skateboarding. Ride The Wall is more than an art exhibition, it is a true means of expression where artists are given the chance to express themselves and paint directly on the walls of GenevArtSpace (GAS).

GAS, with a surface of more than 400 sq. m in downtown Geneva is surrounded by an industrial and concrete environment perfectly suited to the art shown at Ride The Wall. Geneva, a hub for the arts in the heart of the Alps proves to be the perfect place for this first international meeting. The show will open on Wednesday 4th of June at 7 pm, in the presence of all artists and professionals snowboarders and skaters. The night will be punctuated by a skate show as well as an auction sale driven by Eric Valdieu for the benefit of The Red Pencil Association, who works with disadvantaged children across the world and help them through art. Various events will take place on Saturday 7th from 2 pm linked to street art: live painting, conference, a book signing of her latest collection by Magda Danysz and much more still to be confirmed.

Three major masterpieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat will be one of the many highlights of the exhibition. A sort of a view of the master onto its pupils. Then, in keeping with the values that link surfing sports to Urban Art, Ride The Wall will exhibit both street art pieces and action sport pictures by snowboarding photographers.

Regarding the street artists, Ride The Wall have selected names that are renown today among informed collectors and other passionate artists such as L’Attas, Jef Aerosol, NoeTWo, Zest, Gum, Pioc PPC, Rylsee, Broko and Guillaume Stortz.

Jerome Tanon, Louis Gamier and Vanessa Andrleux will exhibit their digital and silver prints, shot in the mountains during their travels around the world. A different outlook on gravity.

Led by major works from Jean-Michel Basquiat, the father of urban culture, Ride The Wall is right at the crossroads of board culture and art, through this stylish gathering between international artists and athletes. An event that highlights urban culture through art, snowboarding and skateboarding.
