The world’s best female snowboarders return to Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria: on Friday February 10th, 2012, for the ROXY SNOW PRO to be held at the Nightpark Saalbach Hinterglemm! This 5-star TTR slopestyle event – the only 100% female event on Tour – will showcase the best  female riders in the world in front of an excited crowd situated in the natural arena of the slopestyle finish area. With finals to be held at night under a floodlit course, the event promises to be one of the most spectacular of the season in Europe.

Top-notch riders will all ride out for the US$ 25,000 prize-purse. The European audience will get a unique opportunity to watch many stars at the Roxy Snow Pro, among them Roxy icon, Torah Bright (AUS). Back to competition after her Half Pipe Olympic gold medal in Vancouver, the famous Australian rider is now set to become a force to be reckoned withon the slopes having dedicated her season to competing in both slopestyle and half pipe. Another strong contender will be Roxy’s Kjersti Buaas (NOR) sitting among the world’s top five slopestyle riders on the TTR rankings and Netherland’s Cheryl Maas, one of the most progressive riders in women’s snowboarding. The Roxy Snow Pro will also feature UK’s rising talent and lovely face, Aimee Fuller, considered by many as a force to be reckoned with.

Roxy Snow Pro Slopestyle Course

The Roxy Snow Pro will feature one of the best slopestyle courses ever set up for women. This year, the snowpark shaped for the ladies on the Saalbach Hinterglem Nightpark will mix lots of different elements allowing athletes to be creative and produce a large range of tricks.

- A double kicker line and a 3 multi jib obstacles including a rail/box/pipe combo – 2 jumps designed as rollers both offering a 15 meter/50 foot table – A 10 meter gap jump with a flat/down box option – A final element offering a wall ride/box/tube combination

Located only 200 metres from the centre of Saalbach Hinterglemm, Nightpark at Unterschwarzachlift is the perfect spot for this first-class snowboarding event. Thanks to its location near the village centre and the valley station lifts, big crowds are expected for qualification and the night finals.!!

The ROXY SNOW PRO 2012 will be held as a carbon neutral event. The CO2 emissions given off due to the event organization, the production of artificial snow and the use of the snow grooming vehicles will be compensated in co-operation with the Atlantic Rainforest Institution (ARFI). Roxy Snow Pro Format

ROXY SNOW PRO is a unique women-only event with the snow park and the contest format exactly meeting the demands of female snowboarders. The event will begin with an open qualification on Friday morning where 30 riders will fight for their place in the main session. The main session with 25 riders, including the qualified amateurs and seeded pros, will be held on Friday afternoon. The 10 best riders will advance to the final on Friday night.
