Bataleon and Switchback have just swept up the services of pow-crushing East coast bossman, Shayne Posipsil. Woop!

We are very pleased to announce that Shayne Pospisil is now on the International Bataleon and Switchback teams. He will be joining Jaeger Bailey, Gulli Gudmudsson, Ethan Morgan, Kyle Lopiccolo, Mitch Richmond and DBK as our US based backcountry rider.

Shayne is originally from the Jersey Shore, but now lives in Mammoth Lakes, California. He has been riding since 1995 having paid his dues in the pipe and riding slopestyle and big air contests, most notably winning the highest air in the Arctic Challenge in 2009. More recently Shayne has been filming with Jake Blauvelt for ‘Naturally’; moving from the park into the backcountry, but taking his flawlessly technical style and putting it to work on drops and pillows.

Shayne

His part in ‘Naturally’ has put him firmly on the map as a solid and stylish backcountry rider who sends it on everything; jumps, chutes, drops and pillow lines. We are stoked to welcome him to the Bataleon family and look forward to watching the magic he is sure to weave in 2014!

Shayne already tried out the boards and we have this testimonial from him:

“I’m so stoked on THE JAM 159. Rode it up at Mt. Baker already and then got to shred Mammoth’s sick halfpipe yesterday and I think its one of the better boards I’ve ever ridden. I think the TBT is epic cause there’s no real points on the board that catch like most normal boards and it allows me to carve super hard in any conditions. And I also love the switchback bindings and stoked on how comfy they are and how easy they can be taken apart. Definitely stoked on the products!!!” - Shayne Pospisil
