Nike 6.0 bring together some of Europe’ s best pipe riders for the early season ‘Bag Jump’ session on the Saas Fee glacier.
Nike 6.0, along with new team rider Peetu Piiroinen, facilitated an airbag session to benefit some of Europe’s most prestigious pipe riders, enabling new tricks to be learnt and boundaries to be pushed in the lead up to 2010. Working with the Saas Fee mountain crew, Nike 6.0 brought ‘Bag Jump’ (a specially designed airbag) to the bottom of two custom built halfpipes, allowing riders to try a variety of new tricks on both pipe walls without the risk of injury.
Nike 6.0 team riders Ben Kilner, Ethan Morgan, Manuel Pietropoli and Flow rider Johann Baisamy joined the session alongside invited friends such as Mathieu Crepel and Louri Podladtchikov. With the Bag Jump in place the level of progression was impressive, double corked rotations being the order of the day.
Peetu Piiroinen on the session: “We had great conditions for the bag jump and the pipe was in good shape for everyone to try new tricks in safety. I’m really happy with how it turned out”
