On the 4th of April the Suzuki Wir Schanzen 2009 presented by Quiksilver is coming to an end with the Night on Snow in Kempten. The area around the old Allgaeuer Brauhaus will be the prepared to host the tow-in contest with the largest entertaining programme of the tour.
The Night on Snow is going to be a spectacle that Kempten has not witnessed yet. The participants may be looking forward to the in Europe rather uncommon format of a tow-in contest where the riders will be pulled by a Suzuki Grand Vitara to get the speed they need to jump the massive kicker and jib the various obstacles.
This is the last chance for the riders to collect up to 20 points for the Suzuki Wir Schanzen tour ranking and to decide the overall victory. As a Swatch TTR two (2) Star event additionally up to 200 highly sought-after world ranking points are waiting for the winners in the categories snowboard men and girls.
Only the fewest of the riders will miss out on this opportunity and so the organizers expect a big run on the limited starting places. Those who want to secure themselves a starting spot still have the possibility to register online for the contest until March, 30th. Of course there will still be starting places left also on site, but only a small number.
Besides the contest, the spectators may be looking forward to a spectacular FMX-show with backflips en masse with the Upforce Crew around Busty Wolter, who is not only THE German FMX rider and an international top-pro, but also an excellent entertainer. Alongside his pro-carreer, the man from Berlin also organizes events, works as a journalist, photographer as well as a video shooter and TV speaker.
Furthermore the Red Bull tour bus will be on site and bring around the live band Wrong Kong as well as the rapper Big Eazie, who will rock the crowd and provide a real festival atmosphere.
Also the basic needs will not be forgotten, an event catering will offer various dishes and drinks. Those who still do not know about the special Wir Schanzen beer, should try one or more bottles of this unique ale.
Subsequent to the sportive action, the afterparty that is going down directly on the event location starts around at 20.30 pm. DJ Luke, who should be known to the most as the DJ from Seeed, will rock the dancefloor together with the Suzuki Wir Schanzen residents Drunkenmasters aka Slim C and Big Joe with a fine selection of HipHop, Electro and Mash-Ups. A cozy chill out area also offers the possibility to relax and to talk to friends.
The entrance fee to the contest as well as to the FMX Show and the concerts is only four Euros. The afterparty only costs eight Euros and the combi-ticket for everything is offered for a smooth ten Euros. The tickets are available from now on in the pre-sale at the shops 5ive, Hice, Stenz, 5ive Füssen as well as at Amadeus, Pfronten.
