“The Squad”, Völkl Snowboards’ international team of pro riders, welcomes Keiji Okamoto to their ranks. From now on he will shred alongside Völkl veterans Chris ‘CK’ Kröll, Claudia Fliri, Loui Purucker and Simon Schweiger.
Keiji layed down some impressive stuff in the latest Hywood Movie, among it some next level front and back double corks. He is the first Japanese rider who made it into the Völkl Squad. And speaking of Japan: Keiji is one of the top pro freestyle rippers from the East Asian archipelago. He has proved this at the X-Trail in Tokyo, many magazine appearances and whatnot.
Here’s Keiji’s statement (sic): “Really!? It’s sounds nice and unbelievable!!! I’m very happy to hear it from you! I’m really proud of joining VOLKL SQUAD TEAM!! It’s awesome!!!“
Keiji Okamoto is in Europe for most of January and will make an appearance at both the O’Neill Evolution in Davos and the Burton European Open in Laax. Apart from Völkl Snowboards Keiji is sponsored by O’Neill, Deeluxe and Flux.
