For nearly 3 years the Squad pro riders have been doing secret testing.
Finally Voelkl Snowboards latest development is accessible for all normal people. The integrated Horror-Shock Absorber (HSA) in their high-end models Squad and Squad Prime brings a completely new level to freestyler with a progressive riding style. The specially aligned flex curve in combination with the HAS absorbs hard landings and keeps you on the safe side!
Breaking resistance and durability
The H-shaped HSA inlay is made of a special high-density hard wood and is milled into the core in the binding area towards the nose and tail. It absorbs all shocks and blows of hard landings and huge jumps and protects both rider and board from harm. Broken boards are now a thing of the past.
Statements from the team riders about boards with the Horror-Shock Absorber
Chris CK Kröll: „ … I can totally rely on them … they are build really strong and I have not broken one in 3 years!“
Loui Purucker: „ … what I like best about Völkl Snowboards is they’re a damn good ride and don’t break!“
Simon Schweiger: „ … in the last three seasons I didn’t break a single board!!!!! Super good quality!“
Alex Schmaltz: „ … and of course the Boards are sick and don’t break!“
… thanks to the new Horror-Shock Absorber.
A „light“ version of the HSA can also be found in the boards of the Völkl SQD Series, the Destiny and the new model Spark. This “Shock Absorber” is inserted in the core’s taper and provides enhanced breaking resistance and better torsion properties.
