About 40.000 people were on fire, heating up the central beach of Hossegor as the Rip Curl team riders were ripping the shit of that 4 meter swell in the bright sunshine of the Californian French capital of surfing.
Well, actually not really… In fact, it was raining yesterday in Hossegor, and the wind was certainly strong enough to make a midget fly… Oh, and it wasn’t quite 40.000 people either. A bit less, I would say. Nevertheless, the Rip Curl team riders could show the crowd their skill on a cinema-like screen by the Hossegor cinema, and few of the made the move to the beach, taking the opportunity to surf a few waves the previous day. That was Elias Elhart, Rémi Lamazouère, Victor Daviet, Victor Delerue and Nils Arvidsson.
Each rider of the team invites his mate to his own mountain and shred it all off, that’s pretty much the pitch of Welcome Home, also starring a very on form Darius Heristchian, but also Per Loken, Matias Radaelli, Dani Sastre, Aron Holterman and Janne Lipsanen who discover powder in a dumped out part of Switzerland. As a perfect illustration of last year’s winter, there’s hips of powder runs, wether you are in Sweden, Swiss, Avoriaz, Queyras valley in France, Pyrennes – check out the massive El Burro session with exclusive Onboard/French Kiss footage HERE!
The troupe then followed the path to the infamous Rockfood Bar, second home of every surfing head on this continent, when the party went on till late.
With snowboarders for once, good change!
