Helly Hansen Signs JP Solberg

Helly Hansen Taps into Viking Roots, Signs Solberg to HH International Snowboard Team

Helly Hansen, the most authentic brand in snowsports with its 130-year history, this week signed JP Solberg, one of the world’s most authentic and respected riders, to the HH International Snowboard team.

JP has spent the last seven years racking up some of the styliest video parts in the snowboarding world with impactful segments with Robot Food, Mack Dawg, and Absinthe.

“JP has shown progressive riding on every sort of terrain imaginable,” said Mike Arzt, Helly team manager. “Solberg’s Norwegian heritage, backcountry prowess, and passion for the mountains is a perfect fit for the brand and the rest of the Helly Hansen crew.”

Snowboarding icon Shin Campos, who has flown the HH banner for years, added “I’m stoked to have JP on the team. He’s got sick style, a big bag of tricks, and brings some fresh blood to HH.”

JP was rocking HH for his snow and sailing needs back when he was a tyke and we’re more than happy to welcome him back to his roots.

JP already stocked his garage full of new product and just joined Helly on its first big photoshoot of the season to shred at the Helly Hansen outfitted Chatter Creek Lodge in BC last week. JP will spend the rest of his season putting down another mind-blowing segment with the Absinthe crew.
