The freestyle season at the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park is all but over! After the heavy snowfalls of these last weeks, the conditions at the DC Central Park, Easy Park and Roxy Glacier Park are perfect to enjoy the spring sun and the best snow of the season with rail slides and booter carnage.
With up to 2.75 metres of snow, Zell am See-Kaprun’s Kitzsteinhorn offers more white gold than in the wintertime. Hence, DC Central Park and Easy Park as well as the 70-metre fun-pipe at the Sonnenkarbahn chair lift will be open until the end of April. Among the 27 features of the DC Central Park there’s now also a huge A-Box measuring an incredible 45 square metres (5/5/5 m long and 3 m wide) as well as a step-up/wave kicker combo next to the wallride. Whilst the DC Central Park is the Kitzsteinhorn playground for advanced and pro riders, beginners and intermediates should find themselve home on the eleven features of the Easy Park and the 21 rails’n’kickers of the Roxy Glacier Park.
The Roxy Glacier Park at the only glacier of Salzburg County will even be open until June 02nd, 2008. After the closing of the DC Central Park, some of its rails will be installed at the Roxy Glacier Park which will then present an even more varied offering for beginners, advanced riders and pros.Events: El Grito, School of Style and more!
After the Roxy Chicken Jam, the finals of the Snowpark Tour and the Volvo X-Over Ride, the series of events at the Kitzsteinhorn is not over yet: April 04th will see the el grito Foto & Freestyle Day, a freeski and snowboard jib contest with a freestyle ski test at the DC Central Park. From April 6th to the 10th there will be a snowboard and freeski camp. The ‘School of Style’ is a freestyle camp of the Salzburg ski and snowboard instructor association with new school and freestyle pros coaching the participants in terms of rail, kicker and flat techniques and tricks. The last event of the season will be the Ride’n’Roll 2008 on May 02nd and 03rd, a slopestyle contest for girls and boys at the Roxy Glacier Park.
